Priorities for Richmond Hill
Richmond Hill needs practical leadership that keeps costs affordable, improves local services and treats every neighbourhood fairly.
Keeping Property Taxes Affordable
Richmond Hill must control spending, protect essential services and avoid passing unnecessary costs to homeowners. I will work to keep property tax increases low, demand better value for every dollar and improve financial accountability at City Hall.
Supporting Seniors
I will work to increase Richmond Hill’s Seniors’ Tax Assistance Grant so that seniors on fixed incomes receive more meaningful support in managing municipal costs and remaining in their homes.
Faster Approvals for Medical and Dental Clinics
Richmond Hill should move municipal permits for new medical and dental clinics more quickly, helping residents gain faster access to essential care and helping qualified healthcare providers open their doors sooner.
A Community Safety and Crime Committee
Richmond Hill should establish a Community Safety and Crime Committee with resident representatives selected through an open process, similar to other City advisory committees. The committee would give residents a direct voice in identifying local safety concerns and recommending practical action.
Affordable Pet Ownership and Better Local Animal Services
Pet ownership should not become another unnecessary municipal expense. I will pursue the elimination of cat and dog licensing fees, review Animal Services By-law 22-25, and examine how Richmond Hill can provide more responsive local animal services.
Fair Investment in Parks Across Richmond Hill
Every neighbourhood deserves fair access to quality parks, amenities and maintenance. I will work for more equal investment in City parks across Richmond Hill, so that no area is overlooked.
